Teachers, do you have these in your e-mail signature and why or why not?
Pronouns, degree(s), land acknowledgment, inspirational quote, etc |
You first. Why are you asking? |
Why does anyone ask anything here? |
Sometimes they are looking to start a fight. Is that your purpose? |
|
In MCPS we have been told to not use any inspirational quotes or slogans as they can confuse the parents. We are only allowed to use a school wide one.
I personally just use my name, school, and position. Maybe I’ll add pronouns this year, but doubt it. What’s a land acknowledgement? |
| I have my pronouns. |
“I’m sending this from the unceded lands of the XYZ tribe.” |
| You are clearly irritated by the signature of one of your child’s teachers. |

Maybe it’s a teacher looking for ideas for the new school year. |
| I have what I am reading and just read |
|
My name, credentials, title, and pronouns.
I'm an SLP and use credentials because of all the people who wonder if a school SLP is a "real" SLP (yes, we are. We are not teachers at all and have the same requirements and private and medical SLPs) |
| My kids’ teachers have names and pronouns along with typical contact info |
