| since we are on the subject of plastic surgery, I've been thinking about it, I have a consultaion in a couple of weeks. My best friend had hers done, and she said she loves them. so, i am kinda iffy about it, and I just started a new job and I dont want people to notice the change. I am a small B and I wat to go up one size. So I was going to tell work tha ti am going to have surgery done but not plastic surgey, I dont want people in my new office to judge me. Anyways, my questions is to the ladies that had it done, did you tell your co workers, was it noticeable at the beginning, any advice? |
| I cannot respond to your question - since I am like you - considering getting it done, but don't want anyone to really notice. Just want a little "lift" and fullness post 2 babies! I don't have a consultation lined up yet - what I wish I could do is feel someone's breasts whose had it done.....I wish I had a close friend who has!! Good luck - - - - BUT - prepare to get flamed! I posted a similar question a month or so ago and was reamed by the anti-plastic surgery people on this board! |
| I had them done 5 years ago pre babies- I regret it- I am so much larger than I intended to be- and larger looks fat. If you are done with kids- then consider it- but also think as you age- you gain more weight and bigger boobs just look fat.. I want to remove them and will if I lose my post baby weight and I still look big. |
| I had mine done after 2 babies, and I LOVE them. I went from a small B to a mid-C. I can play them up or down-- meaning, I can easily hide them for work, or show them off on a dinner date with my hubby. The surgery itself was very easy and I will never regret the decision I made. Good luck! |
| I'd love to know how the consult goes as I'm like you a small B, as I say, "barely B," and REALLY want to have it done, esp. since we're done having kids. |

I had them done about a year prior to becoming pregnant. Went from a large A/small B to a large B/small C. During pregnancy, they went to a D and now while ursing i am a DD.
No one noticed except my best friend (or at least no one said anything) until I got pregnant. I also did them in Nov, so I was wearing bigger winter clothes - people probably would have noticed more if it had been summer. Alot depends on how you dress. I did them thurs and was back at work on Monday. I just told people I wasnt feeling well on Thurs. If you do decide to get them done, I highly recommend Dr. Olding at GW MFA - he was fantastic and they look and feel completely real. |
I am hesitant for this reason, too. I am thin right now (post 2 babies-yeah!) but have been heavier in my life and when I am - my breasts are pretty large and make me feel larger. I hope to stay thin, as I am and have been going on 6 years. As long as I am thin - the idea of nice full breasts appeals to me. Should I gain weight - I fear that I will just look bulky. I am on the short side with a short waist.... |
| i have heard that it isn't just one surgery-- that you coud be looking at one every 10 years or so. any truth? |
Yes. I have a friend who works for a breast surgeon and she says that over the course of a lifetime you are looking at several surgeries. I can't remember the exact rate, but hearing that made me decide against implants. |
| That rules it out for me certainly don't want to change the breast like getting new tires. I can imagine each time runs risks for additional scaring and hardening. Imagine the mess you'd be left with if you would have to untimatly have them removed? It'd look like two hollowed out pancakes. |
| anyone who has had them -- can you weigh in on how you still decided to do it facing multiple surgeries? |
Vanity? I can't imagine any other reason, its certainly not a medically necessary surgery. |
| Can you start stuffing your bra a bit and increase gradually before the surgery so its less of a difference afterwards at work? |
| 11:41 - are you speaking from personal experience? since 11:24 specifically addressed her question to "anyone who has had them". |
haha!! good idea, although i already wear padded bras, anyways here is another questions, what is the recovery like? How long does it take to be back to normal, I know that at the beginning it looks like they up to the neck, how long before they look normal. |
