Non-FF Burgers in NOVA

| Can y'all recommend restaurants that serve great burgers in NOVA? Places that are not fast food? I did a DCUM search, but gave up when I kept finding recommendations for 5 Guys, BGR, Shake Shack, etc. Are there any places a little more upscale, or a little more focused on gourmet burgers, like for example the old Joe's in McLean, which is sadly no longer with us? |

Meridian Pint in Arlington. It’s in a little unassuming strip mall but great burgers.
Dogwood Tavern in Falls Church City as well. |

Sweetwater tavern and Carlisle make a great burger.

| Melt in Leesburg isn’t upscale but they have really great burgers. The most delicious upscale burger in the area is at Randy’s. |

+1 to Melt. They also have delicious shakes! I also like Burger Shack (3 locations) and Big Buns (also a few locations around DMV). |

Melt does have good burgers, but we find them a mess to eat. They're so tall, they're difficult to handle (for me at least). Big buns is good. |
