this week we are hitting 100F, with 72F dew point it will be a killer heat. Even the pool will kind of be awful. Wouldn’t mind the museums but parking and then walking to museums will be a sweat bath.
Any other plans for this rotisserie trifecta of days? |
Stay at home |
Netflix and chill, baby.
Stock up on popsicles and beer. |
Pool in late afternoon |
It’s not that bad. The mild June spoiled us. 97 degrees with 97% humidity in DC is just called Summer. We’ve had years when there were months of this. |
THIS. We go to the pool. |
I feel nothing wrong with going for a walk around 7am, then spending the entire day inside. Maybe go for another walk around 8pm, but maybe not. |
Pool. Inside play between 11-4. Catch up on books, cleaning, movies, legos etc. |
stay at home and pray my a/c doesn't break. I'm miserable and trapped right now. |
We have not had MONTHS of heat index of 111 which is what we are expecting stop lying. ![]() |
Staying in but I'm hoping for rain to break this heat wave up. |
Just got out of my car in Rockville. Car said it was 91 out. Not anything I would change my plans over. News likes to hype weather. |
+1. Honestly compared to much of the country (and world) we’ve been extremely fortunate this summer. |
Staying at home, or in the A/C as much as we can. We have a heat-intolerant child and can't even cool off at the pool. Yesterday we went to Ikea to run around! Today we're doing stuff inside the house, where she's done trampoline and puzzles. Every night is movie night. It's alright. |
Were you around for 2012? It was like this for a month. 2019? It was consistently over 90 degrees from June to October. |
