Best Flat Iron?

I love love love(d) my Chi flat iron but it just died. I used it frequently for 5 years so I'm not too surprised.

I'm reading reviews online and debating whether or not to buy another Chi or go with some of the other recommended brands. A lot of people seem to like the Solia brand as well.

Does anyone have experience with these brands or others that you'd recommend?

Mine is a GHD (good hair day), and I love it. My hair is thick and coarse--the GHD does a nice job on it.

Haha I just clicked on this to tell you about the GHD, and I saw the other person's response! DEFINITELY go with it! So much better than the chi.
