District Montessori?

Anonymous
I'm researching preschool options on Capitol Hill for the 24-25 school year for my current 2 year old. Does anyone currently attend District Montessori or know if they are closed? Their website says they have classrooms at St. Marks Church and their address is listed as the church address, but my friend who goes to that church says the school moved out of the basement several months ago.

I realize this post is a couple months old, but was looking up something Montessori-related and came across it. Yes, District Montessori is OPEN and active with classrooms for ages 2-6. They've just moved into a brand-new building around the corner from Call Your Mother along Barracks Row on the Hill. Hope this helps!

Hello! Any reviews from current families? Considering this as an option for PK3 after striking out on the lottery.

DM is great! True Montessori philosophy, nice classrooms and garden. The kids walk to a park. Sweet teachers, the only thing lacking in my opinion is more regular communications about what the kids are doing and learning. I don’t expect daily pictures but more often than monthly would be preferred. My kid is thriving. The thing to be aware of is that it mostly follows the DCPS calendar vs a daycare.
