J crew return after 30 days

| I missed the 30 day return window by a few days. Can I still get a store credit refund if I bring it back? It is unworn, tags still on. |

What's annoying is that they totally can do it... if they want to. I've had really nice associates process the return and others reject me. Try to get the most pleasant associate at the register. |

| Depends who you talk to, but if you are polite and aren't a known serial returner, there's a good chance they'll let you do it. |

| A good strategy May be to bring something else up to the register you’d like to buy. Try the return first. They may be nicer that way |

| Fwiw- I chatted with j crew and they told me that stores are not authorized to accept returns beyond 30 days. They did let me mail the return back (minus $7 for return shipping) and I’ll get store credit. Sucks to pay for return shipping but at least saves me a trip and having to plead my case at the store. |
