Mike's Crabhouse in Riva, MD is amazing and on the water. Get there early if going on a weekend if you don't want to wait.

Kentmorr - about 10 minutes over the Bay Bridge. So you get to cross the bridge, which is fun for an out of towner. But not if you are going on a weekend, because of traffic, of course...

Cantlers. But Kentmorr has better crabcakes.

OP here - short day trip - would prefer about an hours drive from DC if possible.

Make a reservation. Ask for a table on the sun porch.

After you order your crab cakes you can watch the crab boats going by.

Do not even consider eating there without ordering their fried green tomatoes. They are to die for.

Actually their crab bisque is the best
