My doctor started me on a maximum dose (two tablets) of Aleve twice a day for a week. This morning I absentmindedly took four tablets instead of the two I should have. Is this a problem or can I let it go (and be more careful)? |
Totally fine. That's a prescription dose and I take it all the time. |
Thank you.

That's fine op no worried I was told to take that dose for 10 days. |
Fine. Just drink lots of water. |
Taking more than recommended repeatedly for an extended period of time could be a problem. One time? Nothing to worry about. |
Yes, just have some toast to cushion your stomach a bit. |
A pediatrician had my tween take 4/day for 10 days for a strained tendon in his foot. This is over what the label says but doc said it was ok. |
OP, in general, as long as you have not exceeded the daily maximum, you are generally fine with any OTC medication. So, if it says 2 tablets every 6 hours, as long as you don't take more than 8 tablets in a day, you're fine. |
Are you thinking about Advil? 4 Aleve is a lot. Drink a ton of water. |
Just call poison control and ask them.

She did exceed the daily max. The daily max is 3. |
I take 3 at the onset of migraine. Often.
