Maryland's 6th District

Is it true Republicans could flip this in 2024???

Not unless they get rid of Northern MoCo

This is the only district in MD that will be competitive, you can thank D's for that. Gerrymandering sucks.

This, and especially if Dan Cox wins the GOP primary.

Frederick city is blue and now the county is trending blue. Montgomery County North!

Overturning Roe removed any chance of the district becoming competitive.

Maryland isn't gerrymandered

It actually has the worst gerrymandered district in the entire country.

1/8 Congressmen are GOP in a state that votes 35% republican. That’s pretty gerrymandered.

If Dems really wanted too, they could make a full 8-0 sweep for Democrats, too bad the state courts struck it down.

Maryland is incredibly gerrymandered. MD could easily have a 5-3 map if they stopped gerrymandering

Maybe back in 1995, but where are you finding a third R district? There just aren’t enough Republicans to go around. Yes there are a lot of R areas but nobody lives there. You can’t populate a whole congressional district without taking some people from the urban and suburban areas. You just can’t.

I think if we elect a super progressive candidate in the primary, we risk losing it to Parrott in the general.

Why exactly is that "too bad"? You are telling on yourself.

We should probably have 2 GOP congresspeople to represent their red districts. D1 for sure, and probably one more district.

Democrats need to gerrymander to counteract GOP gerrymanders. Its better when we do it.

This mindset is part of the reason why America is falling apart. How about nobody gerrymanders, yeah?
