| Saw it yesterday. It was good but didn't live up to the hyped-up reviews calling it a masterpiece and movie of the century. There were a lot of characters to keep track of. I think it did a great job of showing the complexities of the man and the acting was great. Robert Downey Jr. should get an Oscar. He was brilliant. |
| I only saw the trailer, but Matt Damon seemed hyper and appeared to be overacting. Thoughts? |
For someone who only saw the trailer you should stfu |
I think I can honestly say this about every Matt Damon movie, ever. |
| Can I take my 13 year old to see this? What sort of R-rating is this stuff? |
Full frontal |

I usually detest Robert Downey Jr's brand of manic, self-aware acting - but he totally played against type here and did a fantastic job. Very believable.
Cillian Murphy was excellent too. The whole movie was too long though, and WAY too much constant dialogue. |
| I enjoyed it. Not the best of the century, but I’d say the best of recent years. I saw it in 70 mm IMAX and it was an amazing immersive experience. Certainly from technical perspective it was unmatchable. |
| Prefer the 1970s era BBC mini-series on Oppenheimer. It starred Sam Waterston, maybe. More hours due to the mini-series format allowed for more thorough coverage of a complex person. |
Where did you see it? |
Lincoln Square in NYC |
Completely unnecessary nudity scenes IMO. And I am not a prude or conservative. |
| Just remember it is THREE HOURS in a theater. I wish I had not committed to going with DH. I was absolutely miserable. |
Movie or DH? |
In the moment I would have probably said DH.
