| I need some new shows to watch. Cable is fine too but I prefer steaming since there aren’t commercials. What are some good, somewhat light shows? I have been watching the new sex and the city remake on Max because it’s easy to fall asleep to so things like that are what I’m looking for. |

Dark on Netflix is amazing. Incredibly well done Sci-Fi. Great acting, extremely well-written characters, deeply engaging subject matter.
It is a German show that defaults on US Netflix to an English language dub, which is not great -- so if you don't speak German, I recommend German audio and English subtitles. Be forewarned that it's an exhaustingly intellectually demanding show -- keeping track of who is related to whom is tough; it reminds me of when I read War and Peace and had to draw out family trees to keep track of who the characters were and how they were related to one another in order to understand what was going on. But it is worth the effort. |
NP here. I agree. I loved that show! |
This seems like a strange recommendation for someone enjoying Sex in the City and looking for a show that is “easy to fall asleep to.” |
Op also asked for “ somewhat light shows”. But PP was a good demonstration that reading comprehension on this site sucks. They likely saw the title and didn’t read the OP. |
| I recently re-watched the first couple seasons of The Good Wife, highly recommend! |

Other good shows on Max include Somebody, Somewhere and Hacks.
We’re watching The Good Place on Netflix and really enjoying it. I like falling asleep to podcasts. |

| I've found Hijack on Apple+ to be a good show for unchallenging TV watching. I have fallen asleep a couple times, but it actually holds my attention pretty well. It's a suspense but in kind of a shallow way (like if you think too hard about the plot, you'll have a lot of unanswered questions). Also, Idris Elba's face and voice an whole vibe are nice right before bedtime, IMO. |
| I was surprised to enjoy Jury Duty, on Amazon Prime. And Never Have I Ever and Kim’s Convenience on Netflix. Also the night agent was entertaining, but less lighthearted. |
