Our ten year old broke their foot. Previously planned outdoor camps are off the table. They are likely to be in a walking boot.
Scrambling now to find places that could accommodate. Anybody have experience with Project Create in downtown Silver Spring? Our child likes visual art so this may be a fit. Other interests include mythology, D and D, theater (but that may be too physical?) Other ideas? Our kid likes painting and drawing. Not so much for coding or video games. The Loft in Takoma Park is full and on a waiting list. |

Did you try ArtWorksNow in Hyattsville? No idea of their availability at this point.
Thanks! I’ll look into that.
FWIW I think you mean Create Arts Center not Project Create in downtown Silver Spring.
My child has done some online D&D. Are you able to work from home?
If you’re talking about create arts, my kids have done camp there a couple of weeks/ random days off. My kids are younger but enjoyed it. It’s a solid option.
VisArts in Rockville
I think Labyrinth may have room and their D and D camps
not sure where you are, but the Art League in Alexandria. i got my kid in there for a weeklong camp at the last minute and was v happy with it. good luck!
My first grader likes Create Arts camps. Can’t speak to older kids, but it seems well run and under the radar, so maybe still has spaces open. |
If anything, maybe try https://outschool.com/. They have loads of art (and other interest) camps that are taught via zoom. They are about 1 hour or so each class, and are sometimes hit and miss. But on the whole, they're OK
