Don’t by any EV but a Tesla until 2025

Now that the Tesla charging is going to be the standard, there’s not much point in buying any other kind of EV until all the models have the universal/standard charging port. Unless you want to fuss with adapters forever.

Bummed as I want my next car to be an EV and don’t want to put money in Elon’s pockets.

There will be plenty of bakcwards compatibility. Many other networks already built out that are non-Tesla, like Eletricify America and Chargepoint.

This is a terrible take - just use an adapter if you have a CCS car. It isn’t that big and works fine. Not a big deal at all.
