staple restaurants in arlington

Anonymous
Can you give me some "staple" restaurants in/near arlington (we live in s. arlington but it doesn't really matter)? We just moved and had our go-to pizza place, chinese place, mexican place, etc. I really liked pupatella for pizza and bgr burger joint for burgers.. any other staple places I should add to my list?

El Paso Cafe - Mexican
Moby Dick House of Kabob - Middle Eastern/Persian
Joe's Place or Pietanza - pizza/Italian
Elevation Burger
Silver Diner - a chain, but good for kids
Oriental Gourmet - Chinese
Ghin Na Ree - Thai
Lost Dog Cafe/Stray Cat Cafe - casual sandwiches, pizza, etc.

All are in N. Arlington, but are kid friendly.

Thank you! This is great. If anyone else is reading this, I went to Guajillo for lunch today and LOVED IT. Can't wait to try the rest!

Cafe Pizzaiolo - www.cafepizzaiolo.com

Where in S Arlington are you? If you're near Fairlington you can also get to Old Town pretty fast.

They closed last year for awhile because a car ran into their window, but they reopened. As far as I know, they haven't closed again.

Oops, sorry for that last post. As far as I know, they are still open. They closed last year for awhile because a car smashed into their front window.

Crystal City Sports pub is pretty kid-friendly, much better than going to Champs if you want to watch a game.

Ray's Hellburger
Northside Social
El Charrito Caminante: soft tacos and pupusas
Ravi Kabob: boneless chicken kabob, chana
Thai Square: crispy honey-roasted duck
Delhi Club
Super Pollo (across from Pupatella): chicken sandwiches or rotisserie
not in Arlington, but Hong Kong Palace for Szechuan in 7 Corners: cumin lamb

BTW, nice call on Pupatella. Their Margarita pizza is haunting my dreams lately (even though I eat there once a week!) It seems like you're a foodie; you should join DonRockwell.com for access to the dining guides. Even if you don't join, you can peruse the forums.
