| My friend who is a single parent is seeking a new neuropsych evaluation for her young adult child with high functioning Asperger’s. Preferably a practice that takes insurance. She does not have a lot of money to put up front to pay for a 3-6k evaluation. Their previous therapist recently retired and is not recommending new referrals. |

We had a great experience with therapists at the Jewish Social Services Agency in Rockville. Sliding scale fees. And we aren't Jewish.

| I would suggest posting on Kids with SN forum - there are always lots of great suggestions there. |
Not surprised about the no-new-referrals. Mental illness rates are skyrocketing while the number of therapists is dwindling in many areas. |

Stixrud does a great job (and it therefore takes time to get seen), but insurance only pays for medical stuff (which I think is ADHD) not learning disability stuff. At least that was my experience with BC/BS.
You could call and ask. |
