| Who are your favorite and least favorite DC members of the Council? |
|
Best: None (jk)
Better: McDuffie, Frumin, Bonds, Nadeau, Henderson, Lewis George Worst: Allen, Parker, R. White Indifferent: Gray, T. White, Pinto, Mendelson |
| Allen is the worst |
Your rankings make little sense to me, but perhaps the most egregious ranking is your placement of Anita Bonds, a stuffed shirt whose only job seems to be to funnel ever more taxpayer money to Fort Myer Construction Company. |
I couldn’t agree more |
What are your rankings? |

Better: R. White, Allen, McDuffie, Lewis George
Worst: T. White Indifferent: Gray, Pinto, Mendelson, Parker, Frumin, Bonds, Nadeau, Henderson |

Meh, Vince Grey is the smartest among them, or was. He probably shouldn't run again, but he has had decades of honorable and prudent service to the District.
I think Henderson is the future of the city, with White, Lewis George and Frumin at the top. Pinto is a bit of a stuffed shirt and didn't really earn her seat. I agree with the sentiment about Bonds and White simply isn't up to the task. It isn't like there aren't a ton of smart, capable replacements in Ward 8 there are. |
| Worst is a tie between Allen and T. White. Allen is a nightmare. But T. White is a bigot. |
| Parker is my representative and he’s been great. Super involved in the community and responsive to concerns. He’s new, but so far I’d definitely vote for him again |
Top: Henderson, Gray, Mendo Middle: Frumin, Parker (truly, too early to tell for both but I've been encouraged so far so I'm putting them in the middle for now), Pinto, Allen, R. White Lower: McDuffie, Lewis George, Nadeau Scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel: Bonds, T. White |
Mendo has his issues from time to time, but often he seems like one of the few grownups on the Council. Frumin has yet to prove himself; all too often, he seems to put his finger to the wind before taking a stand. "Latte liberals" like Allen and Nadeau are useless and arrogant. Bonds also has her issues but is still pretty practical. Pragmatism seems in short supply among Councilmembers these days. Lewis-George is the only one to have voted against the recent crime legislation. That's beyond contemptible right now. |
T. White holds the Marion Barry council seat. Among other things, Barry was a bigot also. |
|
Pinto's recent crime bill and work to bring together stakeholders was excellent. Parker took a stand despite a lot of directed pushback from activists.
Frumin has been unimpressive so far. He even made noises about voting against the crime bill before constituents weighed in. Would not vote for him again. Mendo seems old and whiney, he, Bonds and Gray should retire. |
| As a W7 resident I have to say that Gray is quickly climbing the worst list. He's barley alive, frequently misses votes and still won't admit he's not running for reelection. |
