Wegmans - is Tysons store a good one?

Anonymous
I’ve never shopped at a Wegmans.I’ll be in the McLean area for work and see there’s a Wegmans in Tysons. Is it a good one? Or is it small since in Tysons? TIA

It’s not that small. It’s nice and expensive

Nice store, but the parking lot is confusing. I prefer other locations.

It doesn’t have nearly as many options as others.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions! I'll try another location.

A typical Wegman's is 140,000 sq. ft. The one in Tyson's is 70,000.
That said, the Tyson's one has most of the stuff that Wegman's is known for - great bakery, cheese, wine, meat, charcuterie and produce. Where they save space is on the more typical groceries. For example: only stocking small amounts of paper products and limited choices of items like salad dressings.

I like the Tyson's one. It's super nice and clean inside, and I find they have everything I need. A lot of times the Wegman's closer to me, which is twice the size, feels kind of picked over and disorganized, despite being huge. The Tyson's one is super well stocked and always looks perfect. They seem to know their target customer well.
