| I saw a post on Instagram this morning of this cute little girl and how to properly potty train. Without thought, I saved it to my “parenting folder”. I hadn’t realized until this morning that I have this folder on my IG, FB, and TikTok, with multiple videos saved across each platform. I’ve felt for many years that I would be fine without having kids and don’t really want them. So, why save parenting content then? Anyone else experience this? |

Hormones. Instincts.
If you don't have kids, you'll be the only one of your thousands of human ancestors who made that choice. |
| You're reparenting yourself? |

Sounds like you do actually want kids since it’s in the back of your brain. I was unsure for a long time and never saved parenting advice.

Did you end up having kids? If so, what made you decide on them? |
| Society raises us all to think we'll become parents. You don't have to overthink this. I actually have two kids and don't have a parenting folder on social media at all. It doesn't have to mean anything, in either direction. |

It's interesting in an anthropology-study way. Maybe some biological clock stuff, too.
Don't have kids if you aren't 100% sure, and maybe even if you are. |
| If you don’t want kids why would you even be on a parenting forum |
