GPA question

How does taking PE or an elective impact pass/fail in High school impact gpa. I know Honors gets a bump. Is pass/fail part of a gpa calculation? What about summer PE?
Anonymous
"Each student using the pass-fail option shall receive a "P" (in lieu of grades "A" through "D") and a credit, or an "F" and no credit. Only the letter "P" or "F" shall be recorded on the cumulative record and report cards. If a student receives a "P", it shall not be averaged into the student's grade-point average."

Whether Summer or full year, Pass has no impact on GPA, but Fail does. The course does count towards graduation, but not overall GPA.

Summer PE is for a grade unless m, I think, you designate it as pass fail.

keep in mind, student can only take one elective on pass-fail basis per school year

I heard some colleges put B/B+ as default for the pass/fail grade. Anyone else heard it or have some place it is documented?

Colleges have upwardly interpreted low grades of certain applicants, but not sure if that can continue after supreme court gutted the affirmative action in education

Depends on other grades if you want to take PF. It is an easy A.
