Old friends are stopping for dinner tomorrow as they pass through our area. I’d like to bring in food but not have to take individual orders from our friends in advance (they are tied up in a family situation). I’d prefer something lighter than Italian. Ideally I’d like Med or Greek food, but Cava seems to only sell make-your-own bowls, wraps and salads, and what I’m trying to do is have for example some chicken and veggie kebabs, fattoush and cous cous salads, pitas and dips, and everyone makes their own plates. This is just an example of the vibe, I am not at all wedded to those foods.
I’d appreciate any ideas - Bethesda / Chevy Chase and nearby is where I’d pick up from. Thanks! |

I bet Cava Mezze (the more formal version of cava) would do that.
Also Lebanese taverna |
| I second Leb Tav. They have great platters which would be nice. |

Moby Dick has family dinners.
Maggiano's has family dinners. Mon Ami Gabi has family dinners. Uncle Julio's has family dinners. |
| Sushi. |
| Big Greek Cafe - Kensington |
| moby dick |
+1, they have family platters with meat, bread, rice, sides |
| Ceilo Rojo and bibibop do this too. |
| Moby Dick and Leb Tav came to mind - both great for this, with family meals, sides, salad, etc. |
| Cava restaurant, not the quick serve which is very hit or miss and much less healthy than you are les to believe. |
| [url]not Mediterranean but mission bbq is always a hit |
| Moby dick is what youre asking for, but Big Greek Cafe can do this and is better! |
| Any Mexican will usually have platters. |
I have done their family meals a couple of times (big Greek cafe) and they were a big hit. They are also very reasonably priced. |
