What happened to the thread on changes in DCUM user base?

Hi Jeff, I started a thread yesterday asking if you had noticed any recent changes in the DCUM user base and appreciated your detailed response. But now it seems to be gone, as well as the observations of others. Any reason why it was taken down? Thanks.

This is the Website Feedback forum. I am actually expected to read the posts in it. Maybe not "forced", but certainly expected. I was tired of reading that thread.

I personally have noticed that the quality of person here has ‘downgraded’ in terms of quality of information, as if the user base has slipped into teenage territory.

That’s a great discussion point. It’s almost as if you want to prove me right. I’m referring to comments like yours which mean nothing and add nothing to the conversation. Provocative comments that don’t bring forth any sort of reasoned conversation.

8:12 might be a bit clippy but I do find that a lot of the posts (I spend most of my DCUM time in the Political Forum) by Republicans have an aggressive, completely uninformed hit and run quality to them. I think Jeff implied or outright said in one of his blog posts that he suspects that AI/bots are being used (sorry, I don’t know the verb to use regarding AI) to post and that would explain it, it’s that level of… nothing behind the eyes somehow.

I've been using the site since 2014 and it is pretty much exactly the same now as it was then.
