We're new to the area and are going to the AMC movie theater on Wisconsin for the first time. (5300 Wisconsin Ave. NW) Can someone recommend a nice restaurant near there for my dh and I to have dinner before the movie? tia! |
I've heard Masala Art is excellent. Neisha Thai is good. If you just want pizza and feel casual Armand's is yummy. |
Bambule has good Spanish tapas and sangria. Lias is a good American bistro-type restaurant. |
There is also a Magianos (Italian) and Cheesecake Factory if you want chain type restaurants. |
I like Clydes. There is a Capital Grille there too. |
SushiKo (near Giant) and Indian restaurant on second floor above metro (can't recall the name) are good. |
I think PP (16:31) is confused. Sushi Ko is in Glover Park next to the Whole Foods. It is excellent. Sushi Sushi is near the Giant in Cleveland Park, but I haven't been there. |
no, there is a new, pricey and delicious sushi ko at chevy chase |
Oh... totally didn't know that. Thanks for the info! |
That's Mazza Gallery in Friendship Heights.
Rock Creek Restaurant, Magianno's, Cheesecake Factory, Indique Heights, Mia's, Clyde's |
Also Chadwick's, and I think PP means Lia's, not Mia's. |
I'm 16:31 and the indian restaurant as PP mentioned is Indique Heights. We've had a very good experience at Sushiko there (and Indique). What sushi restaurant isn't expensive (seriously)? |
I work in that area. Bambule is just OK, as is Clyde's. Chadwick's is fine for burgers. I'd try Lia's. Matisse is OK too, but if you go to Lia's you won't have to walk far to the cinema. If you want to spend a bit more, try Capitol Grille. |
Oh my gracious, times have changed...we moved away from that area about two years ago and most of the restaurants named above weren't there then! |
Bambule is great. We went for my birthday and ended up missing our show, we lingered so long over the food. |
