3 team shootout

Recently we were in a tournament, where if the last match had a specific result, the tiebreakers called for a shootout.
However, this would have been among 3 teams. I asked the on-site official how it works, wondering if the two teams should stay and do a shootout without the other team, to save time the next day when playoff matches would happen. The official didn't seem to understand the tiebreakers or what I was asking. What would be the format for a 3-team shootout? |
