Ultimate girls trip - do they drink so much?

I'm embarrassed to admit I started watchin Ultimate girls trip on Bravo but in case anyone else is wallowing.. i am shocked at how much they drink. The season at Bluestone manor with Dorinda was non-stop drinking. I understand this is probably encouraged to up the drama but does anyone really drink that much in real life? These are all middle aged women and none of them seemed capable of drinking in moderation. They would act horribly and then repeat it again the next night.

I haven’t watched a regular season of any housewives franchise in a while but the girls trips pulled me in. The casting is amazing. You’re right though, that’s a lot of drinking. I couldn’t keep up for a week or more.

Out of curiosity, what do we consider a lot of drinking?

Saaaaaame. But I watched the second season first where everyone (especially Vicki) was complaining about being in the Berkshires rather than somewhere exotic. I'm a fan of the Bluestone Manor trips so didn't understand what all the kvetching was about until I saw the first season and where they went and where they stayed. I realize it was somewhat Covid-related but it was a big step down, and a completely different experience, from a luxury villa in Turks and Caicos!

I'm skipping the third season, for now, since I didn't watch those franchises but will watch the fourth season and am way more excited than I should be for season five with the OG RHONY cast.

It’s hard to tell how much they drink bc of editing. Marisol though seems to have an actual problem and it’s not fun to watch.

Is there any show on Bravo that doesn’t involve excessive drinking? Maybe Family Karma? All the Housewives shows have extreme drinking.

Dorinda is definitely a top tier drunk. Her behavior while drunk got her fired from Rhony.

+1. And it's ramped up on RHUGT because they're essentially on vacation (similar to the one-off trips they'd do during the regular season; the drinking and associated hijinks always seemed to ramp up then, too)

I started watching it and simply could not get through it. it was just too much to get through, the drinking, the sloppiness, the fighting, the cattiness...I mean they acted like they were 15 and not even a mature 15 year old. Just intolerable. I think Bravo has long ago expired in my book.

Yes. And I imagine the RH franchise takes that into account when casting.

I know on Below Deck, some of them get blackout drunk on nights out after every charter, which is every third day or so. Some of the regulars have been doing this for multiple seasons too.

Are you asking if adults on vacation drink to excess?
