Clomid Depression

Anyone experience severe depression with Clomid?

I don't know about severe, but clomid caused depression symptoms for me.

I don't suffer from depression, and when I was on clomid I felt horrible. Really sad, hopeless, not caring about anything, would sometimes just start crying for no real reason while I was in the car alone -- things that are not like me and that I knew didn't feel "normal." And I don't think it was depression/sadness from fertility issues (though perhaps it can be hard to distinguish, depending on the circumstances?) because I honestly wasn't all that stressed about the fertility aspect at that point, I had just started working with an RE and I was very hopeful & optimistic. And I felt better as soon as I got off the clomid.

Yep -- you just described how I have been feeling exactly. And even though I know it's not normal for me and probably not based in reality, it still is very difficult to get through. Thanks. -- OP

I felt that way, and it got worse with each Clomid cycle we did (I did 5 total.)

I had severe depression with clomid and I only did one cycle, luckily I did not experience the same symptoms with the injectables for IVF and I got pregnant with the first cycle. I had a similar experience with bcp's so it seems that only synthetic hormones cause difficulty, but natural stuff was okay.

Yes, horrible depression on clomid. Couldn't stand it and luckily only did one cycle on. Also doing injectables and have not experienced the same problems.

I wouldn't say severe depression, but it does make me really weepy about stuff that wouldn't normally cause that type of reaction (like, even remotely).
