| Do your kids get to attend for free? |

I work at a private school my kids aren't eligible for, because it's single sex and my kids are the opposite sex.
But if you work there a certain number of years and your kids are the right sex, then you get a small discount which increases each year. I don't know the details, because I don't have eligible kids. |
| This really depends on the school. Almost all schools give some sort of discount, but I’m not aware of any that cover all tuition. |
| I know a teacher at our school. She gets a small discount but that’s it. |
| No |
Free? No. A discount, in most cases a relatively small one. |
| It’s pretty obnoxious that the schools don’t do more. |
| I get about 85% between remission and financial aid. |
I think you get a pretty significant preference for purposes of admission. |
| Depends on your level at the school. I know someone who is assistant head of upper school, and his kids go for free. |
| HOSchools/admin and teacher have entirely different contracts. Admin can negotiate all kinds of things. |
| No. The school drops the teaching parent's salary when calculating financial aid, which could be good or not, depending on marital status and HHI of spouse. |
| If you work as a private school teacher, unless your spouse makes a high salary, how can you afford to send your kids to your school? |
|
No.
