I have thick wavy hair that can easily frizz - anyone have a favorite curl cream to recommend? |

I came to recommend this also |
I'm struggling with this cream. It seems like I have less curl when I use it, and my hair can dry pretty curly on its own sometimes. Maybe I am doing something wrong or it's just not for everyone. |
You have to apply it when your hair is soaking wet. I do it just out of the shower. Work in sections. Comb through with a wide tooth comb and the gently cup the ends as you scrunch to your head. You should hear a squishy sound. That means you’re doing it right. I then “plop” it with a t-shirt which is squeezing it gently to absorb the water. Never use a regular towel. Then I apply mousse or a gel. Put some in my hands, rub together and apply like praying hands. Again, do it in sections and cup the ends as you scrunch to the head. A cast will form, which is good. When it’s dry and the cast is hard, you can break it. I rub a little bit of oil in my hands as I scrunch out the cast. That locks in the moisture. |
I've had good luck with https://kevinmurphy.com.au/us/en/km/products-/by-benefit-/curl-/KILLER-TWIRLS.html

Whatever brand I use, I add gel. Aveda’s Be Curly line is good. Emulsify the curl cream with a good gel for hold and to eliminate frizz. |
