At my place of work, what happens is nothing. that has not been the case at previous companies where there were actual consequences.
curious what the deal is at other cos. |
| County. Nada. Nothing. Zippo. |
| They get promoted. |
|
Underlings get punished.
Higher ups, nothing whatsoever. |
| One partner got a mentor and then ultimately got fired. One partner got "heavily encouraged" to leave, and he did leave to start his own business. |
Oh, and another partner got fired, and the person he hurt was offered free counseling (from licensed therapists, not like from HR) for as long as they wanted. |
| Mostly nothing, but we had a guy get fired for delivering ubereats in his government issued vehicle, emblazoned with a huge municipal logo, during the work day. |
Came here to say this. |
That's kinda awesome. I'm sure they had to replace the driver's seat because of the indentations from his massive balls. |
| Depends what you mean by “terribly”? Are we talking microwaving fish, sexual harassment, or like not doing their work in a timely manner? Because at my company those get: nothing, termination after very few offences, lots of micromanagy mentoring until the person improves or quits. |
That made me lol, well done |
|
It does depend on what you mean by horribly-
2 hour lunch? Nothing. Leaving without taking leave? Nothing. Drinking on the job (but not drunk)?Nothing. Haven't experienced more serious offenses. The horrible supervisor who sat in their office all day with the curtains and door shut and never had any idea of what was going on outside of that office recently got promoted. |
[mastodon]h
This has been true of every nonprofit where ive worked. |
|
Nothing or they get promoted.
Government. |
It made my evening that myself and a stranger I may never meet from across America both agree that microwaving fish is a deep professional sin worthy of profound consequence |
