Infertility Support and Discussion

We're TTC #2 and are on the fence about whether to go for it with NCIVF (Dominon/Gordon) in the coming months.
I'd love to hear success stories from anyone who's done it. How many cycles/attempts did you do? Any other thoughts/insights? (Background: I'm 38. We conceived DC#1 on our own relatively quickly, but it's been 9 months so far this time around, with only an ectopic and BFNs.) |
| I conceived with my first cycle of nat cycle IVF, I was 38 with an FSH of 15 at the time. We are trying for #2 and we were not successful with the first attempt. I know it's hard not to get discouraged, but we are going to try again next month, took one month off to enjoy a vacation, etc. |
| I wish I had a success story to share. Did 2 rounds of NCIVF with Dr. Gordon and neither cycle worked. It really is a crap shoot. I don't know why someone who is over 35 with a high FSH would get pregnant with NCIVF over me, who is 31, healthy and has slight male factor problems as the only identifiable reason she cannot get pregnant. But that is just the way the dice rolls I guess. Good luck whatever you decide. I though Dominion Fertility was a nice place even though I'm at SG now. Happy at SG too. |
| From what I read, natural cycle IVF might be a good alternative for those who respond poorly to meds because they have alsmost exact same chances of getting pregnant as with medicated IVF. But on the other hand, I read stories of so many people who failed to get pregnant through a regular IVF, even with perfect-looking embryos. It's just a gamble either way you go. Althouth I would still bet more on a regular IVF. |
