Lead time for a mediated IVF at Dominon Fertility

Anonymous
I wonder how long it takes to complete a medicated cycle with Dominion Fertility. Also, what was your overall experience - good, bad?

Well...I think it all depends.
If you are going in with no work up, it could take you quite a few months to get all the pre-testing done, etc.

But for a medicated cycle itself, if you are just doing the standard cycle...it is almost like a month plus two weeks. DF does not use birth control pills.

So you start your lupron suppression after ovulation, when you get your period you are monitored (u/s and bloodwork), the docs figure out your stim schedule...and if it fits correctly you move on to injects at cd2 (or whenever they decide to start your cycle).

It was pretty straight forward for me.

My 3rd IVF there was delayed after egg retrieval. I was close to OHSS and Dr. G didn't want to risk it, so we froze all embryos and transferred them about one and a half months later. Best decision we ever made...it was the most successful cycle of all...and I got my twinks out of it!

OP, it depends on the type of cycle, I did a lupron flare protocol and I had some testing done prior to seeing Dr DiMattina, but I started my cycle 2 months after my first appointment.

All my testing is done, so I am ready to start. Still debating natural cycle vs. medicated IVF.
