The we need BY to identify players seems like a bad argument to me.

That was supposed to be the point of switching to BY to begin with, the intention was to be able to "identify and better understand RAE" so that it would improve our national teams, what ended up happening was that they lost almost all Q4 kids from the YNT, but if a kid made it that far under the circumstances they usually made the team but that is a whole other topic. Q1 kids that are actually good and not relying on their age associated size advantage should be able to play up as well. If we care about our national teams and don't have some myopic view because we are deluded into thinking our kid is YNT material, we will want all of our kids to be challenged at home before we send them abroad.

That’s not what happened…where do you come up with this?!

The distribution on the YNT improved after BY switch.
False

The last number of pages have gone from a conversation and information sharing - to trading anonymous insults. It’s interesting how things got worse on this threat after SY was re-adopted. 🤔

It's only going to get worse whenever it is announced that the entire youth soccer ecosystem will be going to 9/1. So sad!

Im happy for all of the Q3/4 kids. They have had it rough since the change. (stats dont lie) Going to be an interesting 24 month shake out thats for sure! Add in the MLSN2 change and there is going to be absolute pandimonium in so many leagues!

Burn the system to the ground.

Yeah because the BY crowd is in shambles and upset that their kids don’t get to play against kids a grade below…

I look at this way, August parents, if your kids are actually good and not just relying on their physical advantages; if they make it through, you will have a baller on your hands!

What are the impacts to a Sept kid in a county that has a 10/1 school cutoff, not 9/1, and who was not redshirted? Obviously I know that technically it means the child will have to play with kids in the school grade younger, but are there other impacts/considerations?

No issue, just find a team where they can play up.
