My niece and nephew, twins, are turning 20. No idea what to get them! Ideas?!
|
| Just cash |
| yeah cash |
| Monnnay |
| benjamins. |
| This is OP. Sheesh. I had no idea. Is that really all the want, cold hard cash?! |
| My 20 yr old DD loves Glossier's balm dot com still, and loves the small candles from Trader Joe's, succulents, fun socks, giftcards to Starbucks, Aerie, Glossier, and Sephora. |
Bet she'd love any of the above a lot more if it had a $50 bill wrapped around it. |
YES. |
She's not that kind of person. She'd just put that $50 towards savings. |
|
They want money. If you know them super well and know something they'd really love, go for it. But in general, yep, MONEY.
I get my nieces and nephews high-end chocolate bars for their stockings. |
| What about your kids this age? Do parents give money too? |
I don't give my own kids money. Generally by this age, we give experiences, like we gave DD four tickets to Taylor Swift. |
If there's nothing specific my 19yo wants, yes, I do. I might give a small gift with it, but she would rather have extra money than most gifts. For special occasions - high school graduation, 18th birthday, etc. - I gave special gifts like jewelry or an experience gift she wanted (like tickets to a Broadway show). But for Christmas, I gave her cash and something small. |
| For that age, can’t go wrong with fun graphic tee shirts. Something that reflects their personality, interests, or an inside joke. Even if they won’t wear it in public, they can sleep in it or wear it around the house. Laptop/water bottle stickers are also good! |
