Headed for a girls weekend, staying in Dupont. Looking for a spot that is open late, maybe ethnic, that’s lively with excellent cocktails preferably in Dupont/Logan Circle, willing to go to Georgetown/Adams Morgan. We are in our thirties and foodies (as obnoxious as I find the term).

| I don’t go to that part of town looking for good food (sorry), but you could try McClellen’s Retreat for cocktails, Lulu’s wine garden for dinner, or venture out of that area to Bar Amazonia. There’s also a fun vibe at Bar Chinois (though again, not DuPont circle). |

Maydan is a good suggestion. Also Reveler's Hour or Anju.
There's a pretty strong diversion between 'excellent food' and 'open late and lively with excellent cocktails.' |

Start at Anju and then go to the very close by Dram and Grain.
Sura in DuPont Circle has excellent food and cocktails —it would be my choice— but I would not describe it as a lively late night spot. Maydan can be hot inside in the summer. |
