Homeward Trails

Hi,
Has anyone had experience adopting from Homeward Trails? I’m just at the beginning of keeping my eye out for a dog who seems like a good fit. I had an email exchange with the adoption coordinator at HT and she seemed very odd and emotional. It’s location and how many dogs they seem to have makes it a good choice but if dealing with them is a PITA I’d rather avoid it. Thanks for any input!
