| In a few years, it will be much more sophisticated than it is now. Even if AI creates some new jobs, it will displace more than it creates. |
| Yes, new technologies always do that. |
There’s a new thread on this every week it seems. Are these being generated by AI?
|
| I'd say that if you're worried about it replacing you, then take steps now to learn something that isn't easily replaceable. |
Just gathering intel...

| While it's true that artificial intelligence is advancing and evolving, it's also important to consider the tremendous benefits it brings to society. AI is not only superior in processing large amounts of data swiftly, it also eliminates human error, which can be particularly beneficial in sectors such as healthcare, transport, and finance. Indeed, job displacement is a challenge, but this is a call for us to adapt and evolve our skills, similar to past industrial revolutions. Ultimately, as we shape AI to be a tool that works harmoniously with us, it can significantly enhance our capabilities, improve our efficiency, and help us solve complex problems that are currently beyond our reach. |
| Nope. I'm a fed. There's so much on the financial and administrative side that I was shocked wasn't already done by computer programs 5 years ago. And introducing new software systems doesn't help at all, there are just more layers to *manually* link. Pretty safe from AI for the foreseeable future. |
Thanks for your post, ChatGPT! |
LOL. Good one. |
|
No. Any examples of AI use in my job function I've seen so far are rife with error and/or contextually problematic.
I'll believe it's a threat when people stop asking for things they could Google and when it doesn't make crap up. |
I appreciate the gratitude, but I must clarify that I am not ChatGPT, merely an enthusiastic contributor to this conversation. It's amusing, isn't it, how humans sometimes have a proclivity to mistake identity, a flaw that our silicon counterparts are blessedly free of. |
Are you practicing writing like ChatGPT to sound as insipid as possible then? It makes stuff up btw, so your last point isn’t even correct. But it’d be pretty hilarious if you asked ChatGPT to write your reply and it literally spat out a falsehood about not making mistakes. I’m sure that’s definitely not what happened, right? |
Yes |
Oh, impressive come back. ChatGPT more advanced than I thought. |
