Where to go in the DMV for cyst aspiration?

Anonymous
I was just about to start my 3rd ER this week and my baseline scan revealed a large ovarian cyst. My doctor who is with an out-of-state clinic (CCRM Lone Tree) asked that I get the cyst drained the next day. I was told it was an easy in-office procedure with local anesthesia, but when I called my local monitoring clinic (CCRM NoVA) they made it sound like a much longer process that would take weeks to coordinate and would require time in their surgery center under more serious anesthesia.

Is there anywhere else I can go to have this done sooner? My cycle has already been cancelled but I would like to get this taken care of so that I try again in early August. I do not have a local OB/GYN, so am wondering where I might be able to get in relatively quickly that would do this procedure. Any recommendations?

Not sure where but if it’s just a cyst I’ve had it done multiple times. Some doctors do it with a local numbing shot, some just do it. Better with the numbing but it takes 15-2o minutes. I see a breast care specialist who is a surgeon. An ob should not do it. Usually you have an ultra sound detecting it.

Thanks for your reply. I kept hitting walls trying to figure out a local option so I will end up traveling to get it done on time and prevent another cancelled cycle. I'm frustrated that there wasn't an easier way, but I just want to get it done and move on.
