Spring Break destination - SE FL

Anonymous
We're looking for ideas for somewhere to add with a trip to see family in Naples over spring break. Ideally within a couple-ish hours of Ft. Myers airport. We have 1st-2nd grade kids, enjoy a lovely hotel or resort with a great pool, like good restaurants/food, a cool town and/or cultural scene, beach is nice but not a must, just someplace interesting and memorable to do on our own before we join up with the extended family for the rest of the trip. Flexible on budget. Would love suggestions!

We went to the JW Marriott in Marco Island for a wedding last fall (post Hurricane Ian). Kids would love 10K Alley (their version of Dave & Busters). They also have a kid's club from 10-3 daily if you want to golf, hit the spa, etc.

Aren't you talking about SW Florida, not SE?

The Naples zoo was fun and you could also do an airboat ride through the Everglades. We did sanibel a few years ago but not sure that’s up and ready from hurricane. We stayed at a Hyatt Bonita springs or something that had lovely pools.
