I owe my man a steak dinner...where's the best?

What's the best steakhouse in/near DC? I'm looking for food but also ambiance. That whole rich mahogany, overly masculine aesthetic. Money isn't a concern. Big bonus points for solid bourbon list. Thanks!

St Anselm if you want it to taste good

Mortons or the Palm if you want it to look good

Ruth’s Chris. Bonus points if you bring your toddler.

I enjoy capital grill.

NOT St Anselm. Don’t know why people keep recommending this place. It’s just not that good.

+1. Does not have the ambience OP is looking for, too airy, but the best steak I’ve has in DC.

It also has a decent (though overpriced) bourbon selection.

District Chophouse or the Palm. Ruth's Chris is really underwhelming for the price.

+1. It's terrible. Would never go back.

We had a terrible meal and service experience at Bourbon steak earlier this year. It had really gone downhill.

Bourbon at the Four seasons.

I love Carmine's in DC for that aesthetic -- although it is Italian rather than pure steak house. Morton's or The Capital Grille will always work (I haven't had great luck with Ruth's Chris).

Cut by Wolfgang Puck in Georgetown. Amazing!
