Chemistry Honors vs AP

Hi, What's the difference between Chemistry Honors vs AP Chemistry? Do they have the same topics in both but AP classes cover in more detail and involving independent work/projects?

Honors is the first chemistry course usually taken by sophomores (after freshman biology), while AP is the follow up course taken by juniors and seniors (after regular/honors chemistry).
