| If your kid does not have a strong interest in any particular areas, you can encourage him to find volunteering opportunities within his local community. |

| Many Girl Scout Day Camps need teenage volunteers. Almost all of the boys working at the ones I am familiar with are doing it for the community service hours. |

| If you’re asking this in the AAP forum, presumably you’re in FCPS. If so, he can search through Naviance to find X2vol. There are local opportunities to volunteer listed there. |

| Have him do the research and pick something that sparks his interest rather than just checking a box. Colleges (I presume that is why he is doing it, not out of the goodness of his heart) would prefer he be genuinely interested. |
