You can search Etsy and look specifically in the DC area, as they have a search function for locally produced items.

You might want to check out the artists in the Gateway Arts District of Hyattsville/Mt. Rainier/Brentwood. There are periodic arts festivals, studio tours, etc. Here's a link.
