Is PE grade factored into GPA?

Yes, it's included in the MCPS GPA. But colleges will often recalculate GPAs, excluding classes like PE and electives.

It is included by MCPS. All high school courses are included.

MCPS includes it yes. Some colleges do their own calculations others do not.

It is the only class required by MCPS that has no honors version. Some kids wait till last semester senior year to take it so it will not bring down their GPA with a max score of 4.0

It also makes Sr year easier. It makes no difference to colleges that PE is an unweighted course.

Yes, colleges have their own alchemy for how they weigh grades - and schools.

That's not true. Algebra I has no honors version.

This. MCPS includes it, some colleges, like U of MI, does not

Most MCPS kids take it in Middle School, which means the grade doesn’t have to be factored into the HS GPA.
