| I am looking for any “finds” to boost my wardrobe on a budget. Any finds you can share? |
| I wouldn’t call Zara cheap, but it has great things at very nice prices. |
| Jeans and a cheap white button down, clean and starched. |
| Target |

Quince has nice staples at very pleasant prices. I recommend their sweaters and some of their ten WL and cotton dresses.
JCrew on sale, and JCrew Factory, often surprise me with nice classic pieces at great prices. I recently walked into a JCrew factory outlet and walked out with two summer dresses and a denim jacket that look great. |
Recently ordered some stuff from JCrew and it exceeded my expectations. |
+1 I have some cute boho tops and dresses from Target. I always get compliments on them and they are well made. |
| Buy natural fabrics in solid colors. Cotton, linen and wool. Target and Lands End. |
| Good ideas! |
I have a lot of cute stuff from Target that I like -- but it definitely does not look "expensive." OP -- One thing that can pretty easily make a wardrobe that isn't expensive look expensive is tailoring. If the fit is perfect it tends to look good even if it is made of a cheaper fabric, etc. A friend of mine who knows how to sew has a huge leg up on this, having it done can get pricey -- but dry cleaners tend to do it for an affordable price. |
| I buy a lot of summer dresses at TJ Maxx and Marshalls and every time I wear them people are asking where I got them. |

Target does not look expensive. I used to enjoy getting cute things there, but once I hit my forties, the stuff was just so cheap looking I couldn’t pull it off anymore.
Agree with Zara. I was actually just there today and bought a bunch of stuff on sale that looks like it could have cost $200, not $30. Lots of Zara stuff looks cheap, but if you know what to look for, it can look much higher end. And can last a long time - I have Zara stuff in my wardrobe that’s 15 years old. Boden and jcrew pull above their weight. Anthro and madewell look less expensive than they actually are (tho in the case of anthro, I will buy random stuff there just because it is unique and cute - but I have to be careful what I pair it with). |
| Banana republic on sale. |
| What price point for top, pants, dresses etc., do you consider as cheap? |

Poshmark
Search by brand or fabric (e.g. silk, linen, hemp, cotton). You can get great quality stuff for 90 percent off retail. And it’s great for the environment to shop used. |
