| Not happy with what I signed. Looking for a way out. Yes, we both had lawyers advise us. |
|
You need another lawyer to review it.
Did you just think you would never need it? Seems like an uphill battle, since you signed it after having legal counsel. |
|
Is that you, Christine?
Signed. Kevin |
| why? |
| Depends on the state but in VA it is incredibly difficult to overturn them. Not only that but your agreement most likely has a provision in it that will award attorney fees to the other party if you attempt to challenge it. |
| What does it say? |
| Are you a lawyer? Doctors don’t run around diagnosing on a Mom message board like this. |
|
It’s likely that you have a spot on your arm. Get it checked out with my association,
I only take cash. |
|
Are you still happily in the relationship and wanting to invalidate it, or is it only on separation that you're looking to invalidate it?
Overall, would you say it is fair to both parties? We're there any extenuating circumstances since signing? |
| lol NO. |
| Who is his lawyer? |
|
Yes, they have. If you can prove you had an incompetent lawyer that's one way. Easiest to prove if they've been disbarred for it, but if not - maybe they gave advice which goes against industry standards. If you were forced to use your husband's lawyer/law firm and didn't get to pick your own. If you were rushed into signing - like the day before the wedding.

| Sounds like a new bride is having regrets. |
| You’ll spend more in legal fees than it’s worth. |
| When interviewing lawyers ask them how many prenups they have successfully invalidated and what was fact pattern. Then decide if yours matches any of the patterns they describe. Hard but not impossible. |
