Home health aid

What DC government agency oversees or pays out for Home Health Aids and Nursing? How do I make sure the home health company is not getting paid for services they do not provide? I do sign timesheets for services. But I'm trying to figure out why the company is OK with not providing services for so long, like months at a time, unless the company is still receiving funding. Months without providing services and they are so nonchalant about finding coverage and losing out on our hours/money. There's no one monitoring these companies, so honestly, they can commit fraud against our hours.

I think HSCSN pays for in home health aides. It sounds like you've had a difficult time getting someone to work the hours you need, but I'm not sure how you are jumping from that to fraud. Have you discussed your difficulty getting staffed with your care manager?

Hscsn had to change their system for respite request due to fraud. The workers were paying the parents to sign their timesheets without giving services. And this was told to me by my case manager so yes I did have a talk with my cases manager about the situation.
