Recent parent meetings for Blair magnet?

Parents of rising 9th graders in the Blair magnet: do you know about a parent meeting held in mid-June, and, if yes, how did you find out about it?

We got an email dated June 20 about the functions class, and in it Mr. Ostrander mentions parent meetings ‘last week.’ I’m not sure if this refers to random one-on-one parent meetings he’s had, or if our family missed a communication about a meeting for all parents.

I just re-read the email and see what you are talking about. We did not hear about a parents' meeting, but our child is coming from private school, so not sure if there were MCPS communications we missed. Would love to hear from any parents if there was a meeting last week.

There was a zoom call offered on June 12 and 13 to provide details on functions and how to get into it, and what type of student it was right for. He emailed details in advance but said that if you couldn’t attend either date he’d send all the info by email. Which he did. Nothing else. If you got the email with the info about functions you almost certainly got the announcement about the zoom too.

Adding, the email about the functions meetings was titled, “No Factoring Camp Summer Program & Math Options” and was sent on 6/5.

I don't think there was an additional meeting apart from the June 12 and 13th about Functions. I wasn't interested for my kid so I did not attend the meetings. We are also coming from outside MCPS but I do receive Mr. Ostrander's emails.
