So we find about 5 live millipedes and - dozen dried out ones every other evening.
We have a dehumidifier running nonstop keeping humidity about 50%. How else can I keep millipedes away, they are fairly gross and crawling everywhere. |
| Millipedes or house centipedes? We have the latter, and I think the only thing you can do is reduce moisture like you are already doing. How long have you been running the dehumidifier? |
Pretty sure millipedes as they curl up into that ball when touched. Had the dehumidifer for years but did just transition to one that drains automatically but it seems to not keep it quite as dry (it was 30% before and now stays around 50%). I could get a bigger one and drive it down further if that really is the issue. |

Sticky traps? We keep a couple by doors/windows in basement, and every now and then they trap one.
I think the cat also eats them, as we've had noticeably fewer bugs since we got her. |
| I would use something like Cyzmic CS. |
Yeah put sticky traps. How do I “seal them out”. I have no obvious holes, so I need to excavate foundation and seal? |
| I don't know the brand, but we hand an insecticide sprayed around the perimeter of the house. They might get in but die soon. |
| How does the cat not get caught in the glue traps? |
