Breakfast, dinner = no problem. But I don't eat lunch, so I am always stumped at what to make. What should I do for three lunches over this upcoming weekend? Focused on the rest of the menu, but just realized I need to have a plan.
TIA for any and all suggestions, the easier the better. |
| Lunch is DIY/self-serve in my house so I buy plenty of sandwich fixings, fruit, cut veg, and chips and tell everyone to help themselves. If I have time I might make chicken salad or pasta salad (which I know DCUM thinks is vulgar but people eat it!) |

One day - deli meat, cheese, bread/rolls, condiments, fruit tray, brownies
Day 2 - Caesar salad with chicken, bread, Day 3 - Tuna and chicken salad, croissants, berries, chocolate chip cookies |
| Make 4 to 5 different types of homemade bread, a huge charcuterie board, along with chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, ambrosia, corn salad, and fruit salad. Make sure to check in with your DH and see which types of bread he wants made, but don't bother him about doing any of the actual prep work. |
| Are you planning to never leave the house? I would have stuff for sandwiches. Maybe Turkey and cheese, tomato and grilled cheese. Salad. |
LOL! Sandwich and salad fixings...or just ask what they typically like for lunch. |

Don’t forget to go to the deli and have all the meats freshly shaved! |
| Agree with fixings for sandwiches. I usually make some soup and a cold salad (like macaroni salad or a couscous salad) that people can eat if they want something besides a sandwich. |
|
*Day 1-Make gazpacho + serve with French bread
*Day 2- Have charcuterie fixings for every everyone *Day 3- Make salads--egg salad, chicken, tuna, pasta and fruit |

We need to know more- who are the guests? Elderly parents, young children, foodie types, people that lean plant-based - all require different approaches. |
| Get everyone out of the house and do lunch out. |
| Sandwich stuff, chips, fruit, veggies. |
Why do you wait on your husband like that? |
Do you lightly fry your tuna? |
