ParentVue access

We’re newly transferring to MCPS next year. We registered through the school but I’m wondering if and when I’ll need and get access to ParentVue? I’m nervous I’m going to miss something like supply lists, etc.

I tried to register and it says I have an account but it won’t send me a password reset or anything.

Will call the school later this week but figure someone might know

Can't answer your question about ParentVue, but can assure you that school supply lists aren't posted there. They'll be on the school's website.

What you'll need ParentVue/StudentVue for is to see your kid's teacher/class schedule. That generally comes out the week before school starts (usually the Tues or Wed before if I remember correctly) so you have a lot of time.

Don’t worry about this. Didn’t get Parent Vue access until super late (August sometime) and supply lists at our elementary were issued at most two weeks before school started.

You use ParentVue to see report cards and test scores.

Supply lists are posted to the school’s website — you can also email the school to get them.

Principals will typically send a message to all parents and guardians during the first week of August. It will have a ton of back to school information either in the email or via links to a website.
